These volunteers helped a homeowner by repairing and installing staircases and planting a new rose garden. Rebuilding Together Rohnert Park-Cotati provides repairs and renovations to needy homeowners as well as eligible nonprofit organizations in the Rohnert Park, Cotati area, that serve the low-income population. Nonprofit organizations can apply for volunteer services, with projects scheduled for Rebuild Day in April or Fall Rebuild Day in October.
Rebuilding Together Santa Rosa provides home repairs and renovations so that communities can live with safety, dignity and independence. Committed volunteers rehabilitate numerous homes and community sites each year. In one project, a local safe house received a bathroom makeover to better accommodate the battered women and children it serves. Nonprofit organizations can apply online for free facilities repairs.
Sonoma County CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) funds are used for projects that improve the quality of living for lower-income residents, including community and senior centers, affordable housing, homeless shelters, and many other community-focused programs. Nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply for these funds through a grant process.
